New Droid SW FL user

Just purchased new Droid (my son has been pushing me that way ever since he received his). Was an avid Palm Treo (Sprint) user and very much liked the Palm Calendar interface and contact apps.. Am getting used to the Google Calendar and must admit it is great. Have had a "fit" getting my 1000+ contacts (maybe I should cut down) into the Google Contact format. Have a few questions on the calendar function n - where should I go to ask for guidance.
