New Droid User

Hello Everyone,
I have left the world of Blackberry and entered the unknown of Droid. I have a new Thunderbolt and am having bit of trouble figuring things out. No where can I find the answers to some of my questions. Hoping this is the right location to find out what I am looking for as I am not particularly tech-savvy!

Posted it under another thread, but I'll ask here.

Have new HTC Thunderbolt. Had a Blackberry, Storm (stop laughing!). On the Storm, I could delete E mail two ways, 1) delete it only on my phone 2) delete it on my phone and my computer's 'in box'.

When I delete E mail on the Thunderbolt it also deletes from computer. I don't want that to happen. What can I do and HOW do I do it so that does not happen?

No one at the store could tell me,show me, or had any idea of how to do it!
