Hello my name is Greg. I have been working in broadcast and Public Safety communications system and equipment design for over 25 years.
I purchased a Droid X because I could not deal with AT&Ts rotten customer service. I have to say thus far I have not impressed by the Droid X. There are quite a few bugs in the OS and in my opinion Motorola has forgotten the basics. I have had several problems with the unit not picking up the right person from my contacts list I.E. I get a text from my son and it shows as another user, or hitting the reply button when one person sends me a message and finding out that the reply went to someone else. Crazy stuff that should have been worked out long ago. Heck the Q handled things better than this phone. I sure hope Froyo solves some of these issues.
