New droid x and already have a message issue?

I just got the droid x two days ago and i downloaded handcent sms and it was working fine and all of the sudden i can get ppls txt messages but they cant get mine and i even looked in the message box the original one so i dont think its the handcent. So any help would be appreciated.

When you try to text someone, does the phone number start with +1? I've noticed that sometimes my phone will refuse to send texts to people when I have a +1 in front of their number. It's kind of random though, because sometimes the phone will send texts to +1 numbers without a hiccup. But it's something I would suggest you try, remove the +1.
