New firmware update in 2 weeks?

I was at my local Verizon store tonight in Franklin, TN (5/24) and the gal helping me said they were told today a new firmware update was coming out in 2 weeks.
I asked if she meant the update pushed a couple of weeks ago and she said no, this was a new update that is specifically meant to address battery performance?
Anyone else hear of this update?
Just passing along what I was the told.

If this is true, to me, it would only be one of 2 things...

1- Its the current ETA for the reboot fix

2- Its when we're getting Gingerbread

I'm actually thinking it could be the GB OTA, from what Miami leaked earlier.

I could see that... lumping the reboot fix in with the GB update, or maybe the GB update is the fix.

Who knows, but with all the leaks coming out that other phones are 'to get GB', and we already know we're getting it ourselves, it kind of makes sense that this is the stock GB we've been waiting for.

I've not had one random reboot on either the stock GB or the das BAMF GB rom... All the reboots I have had have been self induced

But GB may not really increase battery life by much. Don't set your hopes too high.

On the DAS Bamf Gingerbread leak my battery life is amazingly better than Froyo. So much so that even with the scare I am back on the Gingerbrick Death Rom!

Hopefully. Although the battery life hasn't been too bad for me and I haven't had any reboots, so I guess I'm not too worried. Gingerbread would be nice though
