New here running .8. Question on the unlock.

Been lurking and stepping my way up. Did some searches but can't find my specific issue. On 2.1 I could disable the lock screen but now on .8 I have to unlock then use the slide unlock password slide. I'd like to skip the double step of unlocking then putting in the pass slide and just use the password slide unlock. Is there a way or an app so I don't have to do both? Thanks.

BTW this is great I love this rom. Thanks to the developers.

When I tried out the ASOP I enabled the slide lock and the default one went away. Might report this in the bug thread. This happened to me on stock when I updated to froyo. They took out the ability to turn the lock screen on and off.
