New Kernal and Gingerbread question

IN the liberty toolbox rom manager it says there is a 591 kernal update, what is this and should I upgrade to it?

My current kernal is:

2.6.32.9-gca645b6w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1

Previusly when trying to overclock with this kernal it would not work and things would get very messed up. If I upgrade to this kernal could I possibly be able to overclock my droid x?

Also how are the gigerbread nightlies workign for those of you who have tried? Do I need to new kernal to run gingerbread liberty roms?

Upgrade to 0.1 full first. It includes the kernel. Then upgrade to 0.5. I have seen overclocks on 0.5 but haven't tried myself.

The 0.1 FULL INSTALL comes with the new kernel so no you do not. Thia is the exact route I took.
