The above is a mockup.
It's another week and another spate of Samsung Galaxy S IV rumors begin. According to this latest intel, some of the previous rumors suggesting the SGS4 will not come equipped with the Exynos 5 Oct-core are accurate. However, this new rumor also refutes earlier reports that the chip in the new phone will be a Qualcomm. Supposedly, this new-new info is that the SGS4 will come with an Exynos 5440 CPU, a powerful quad-core Cortex A15 chip clocked at 2GHz. This is both easy and hard to believe. On the one hand, it makes perfect sense that Samsung would stick with their own processors for their flagship device. On the other hand, the previous rumors showed off benchmarks with the actual chip in a device. Of course, that kind of thing can and has been faked before, so right now it could go either way.
This new intel also confirmed previous reports of a 1080p 5-inch display and Android 4.2. It also agrees with the previous reports of a March 15th unveiling. Of course, all of these are pretty "safe bets." Either way we will continue to bring you any breaking news.
Update: A separate rumor suggests the release date for the SGS4 will now be March 14th instead the 15th. ~ Yahoo
