I have a Razor Maxx and it seems great but I am new to this technology. Looking for help will help. First, is there any way I can disable call waiting with it's beeps and interruptions when I am on a call.

Also, is there a way to notify (either visual or sound) me when I have voice mail.

Welcome to the board!

Your Razr should be setup by default to notify of a voicemail, both audio(as long as it's not on silent or vibrate) and visual (a message icon in the notification bar, or an LED, which I'm not sure as I don't own a Razr).

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Voice mail settings are located in your phone / dialer app - hit the menu key and can make the necessary changes. On the call waiting, I have never looked for that but if there are settings, it would be in located in the same area as mentioned above most likely...good luck!
