New nexus owner on Tuesday :)

Well after being on the iphone4 for about a year, I got tired of it and decided to switch to android. Picked up a used thunderbolt and loved it. Wanted to make sure that I would actually like android. Played with that for 2 months and decided to upgrade to a newer phone. Picked up a bionic and liked it, but with all the problems with it I couldn't take it anymore. Decided to call up verizon and see if they could switch me into a new phone. Well after 2 weeks, 5 bionic replacements, they are sending me out a GN , can't wait to get my hands on this thing on Tues.. any tips out there before I set up the phone, I know I want to root it first. Not sure how hard its going to be but oh well right

A good time to buy (for non-rooters especially) because of the 4.0.4 OTA update. It sure fixed the few minor issues I was having. :biggrin:

haha, thanks, I have been a lurker since I got my thunderbolt back in october, Thought I would finally sign up . I normally come here for all my android news.. Can you root 4.0.4?? I hope you can

I have not looked into it but I am pretty sure you can. I believe same method as well but I wouldn't mind someone else verifying that for me.

They switched my bionic for a razor and my razor fir a g-nex i miss some things about moto blur but im over them they are not that big of a deal. I love the g-nex bt it dies have a few bug u hate tho.

I haye the text message threads coming back after deleting them and sometimes the broswer refuses to let you click links etc until restarted. Btw im using swype on my g-nex now guys so bare with me if i have miss spellings and typos etc.

Those are two issues i don't have nor i have ever encountered here on the forums.. anything else like that? are you rooted/ custom rom?

well after being on the bionic I welcome those bugs.. I couldn't stand being on 3G all the time when I am in a 4G area, random restarts. camera being subpar!

I love the g-nex tho the only thing that would make it better was if it was made by motorola.
