So it is time for an upgrade for my wife. What Verizon phone should I get her? I have the DX right now, I am hoping that she will trade me when we get the new phone.(I know that sounds mean) So if you all had a second chance, what would you get?

I would get an Incredible 2 for a 3G phone. My personal pick would be an LG Revolution.

I am patiently waiting for the SGS2.

Thanks Brad. You seem to be an LG fan. After my last LG phone, I told myself that I wouldn't get another LG. I also said that about Motorola. Keep the suggestion coming please.

I have an OG1 and I am now able to upgrade. I am holding off to see what comes out. I was looking to get the Bionic but will see what else is coming.

Droid Inc 2 is a nice phone, has an amazing screen. The Droid 3 is a quality phone as well for 3G and it's basically the Bionic without 4G and the larger screen.

Whatever you do buy it from wirefly.com. My second Dinc2 is on the way right now for the wife. $79.99 for the phone and $69.99 for a NO deductible insurance. For the primary line the phone is free right now.
(sorry to hijack thread, but I'm in a similar situation with a ready upgrade)-what/why is wirefly the alternative to a Verizon retail store? i see pricing slightly cheaper...

Verizon charges a lot more than other stores do for the same phones. My brother bought his Droid Inc 2 at Costco for $69, it was $179 at our Verizon store at the same time. Plus he got a car charger and a couple other free items.

Wirefly has some similar deals, much better than you can get at a local Verizon store.

I assume Verizon does this because they know most consumers are unaware of the price differences and since they already have them in their store, they can charge a premium price.

Can outside companys like Wirefly and Amazon transfer upgrades? Like if one line has an upgrade but no data plan can I use it on my line for an upgrade?

So please explain/validate Wirefly in simple order of operations for someone eligible for an upgrade with $50 credit:
-validate upgrade status online
-order new equipment online for cheaper cost + (hope they apply the VZ NewEvery2 credit?)
-walk into Verizon store to activiate? and pay activation fee?
-or activate yourself online/*228 and pay no fee?

Thanks in advance, again-sorry to hijack thread

They're all connected to the same database, so they'll bring up your account on their computer just as a verizon rep would at the store. This will show them you have an upgrade.

They may activate your phone prior to shipping, I've never ordered from Wirefly so I can't confirm this. If not then you activate the phone yourself, the same way they would at the verizon store once you receive the device.
