Verizon just issued a new security update for the Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD. This update adds some additional functionality as well as some basic security fixes. This new functionality will only appeal to a very small few folks under a precise set of circumstances. This update adds support for Isis, which is Verizon's new Mobile Payment system designed to compete with Google Wallet. So, here are the conditions for which it might matter:
- If you have one of these phones (the Droid RAZR HD and MAXX HD), and
- If you live in Salt Lake City, UT, or Austin, TX (the only places where the Isis mobile wallet system has rolled out yet), and
- If you even care about using the Isis' mobile payment system, then...
At least it's also a security update!
