I have had a slingbox for a few years and purchased the Android Sling-player app when it first became available about 2 years ago. It's $30 which is ridiculously expensive but it does work on my phone and my Xoom.
Just for S&G's I clicked on the App that was installed with the latest OTA and was stunned to see that it is a VCast app that requires a $10 monthly subscription. Is Verizon nuts? Why would anyone pay for a subscription when you can get the Sling-player app for a one time (expensive) fee?
