New to Droid X, Couple Questions...

Your best bet here is to use google as the conduit... Gsynit and google sync are the two most common...

I have read this entire thread as I am having identical problem. I use Road Runner pop acct and my sent mail is piling up in the Outbox with an orange triangle icon with an exclamation point in it. There is nothing I can find to do to make it send. i have compared he settings with those on my laptop and are identical as far as I can tell as there are a couple of items not included on each. The Phone will not send Pop amil but will send Google mail but that acct was only set up at purchase Thursday cause they said i had to have it.

I have not tried this K9 App as I really want to learn to use the basic Apps of the Droid -- it is my first Droid. Been with Verizon/Alltel forever with a basic flip phone.

Just download K-9 and set up manually so you have more options when setting things up...you'll then get all the options you have on your pc/laptop.

thanks for prompt reply but as I said -- I want to learn the Droid Apps first btu of course if the Droid can't handle Pop email that's not too cool. Real frustrated been trying to figure this out several hours. And sending replies is difficult and not intuitive -- seems to be several different arrows or buttons to hit, but then it doesn't leave the Outbox. Why should you have to use a third party App to do basic email? If I have to I of course will cause no way I'm changing all my RR accts to Gmail.

Are you sure this isnt an issue with port 25 being blocked? just to be sure try port 587. if thats not the problem you should look to dump the stock client. its not that good anyways.
