Hey guys I'm going to pick up a Droid X today and am of course going to root it and I was just wondering what roms you recommend for battery life? I've noticed Shuji and Rubix so could you guys point me to where to get those? If any others are good let me know please! I've had a Droid 2, Samsung Fascinate, Droid Incredible, and HTC Eris all rooted so I'm not new to it. Thanks ahead of time everyone!

Make sure you're on GB and try out Vortex RC1. It's incredibly stable and great battery life as well. It's very popular right now. Also, Wulf just reposted his themes for it over at DXF.

When you get to hands on your DX like jsm said see what your system version is by going in settings > about phone. It's most likely 4.5.605 or 4.5.602 which is the latest Gingerbread so after you root it you can install some nice roms. Shuji probably does have the best battery life but it's kinda old and doesn't have much support at all. I believe mobile sensei closed all the links for the dx roms but someone was kind enough to post a good link http://min.us/mgy8SJWxN. I wouldn't personally bother with rubix. Vortex is great http://www.DroidXForums.com/forum/vortex/39892-rom-vortex-rc1.html and my personal favorite Liberty http://rootzwiki.com/topic/10655-rom-liberty3-v20-for-the-droid-x-1128-sunday-bloody-sunday/ after your root your DX all you need is droid 2 bootstrap to install whatever rom you choose.

I actually just grabbed the latest VorteX and I am gonna probably flash that first. I had Liberty on my D2 and it ran well for me but I'm actually looking for something that looks really close to Blur so do you know if there is a theme for VorteX that is a Blur theme or is there stock looking rom? I'm getting ready to go get the X!
