New to Droid

I am still figuring out this phone. Anyway how would anyone delete apps from the home screen?

Hey there and welcome to the phone and forum. Glad to have you here and we hope you enjoy your stay with us. Deleting apps from your home screen... Basically you just long press on the icon you want to remove, and by longpress i mean hold it down for about 2 seconds, if you have haptic on it should vibrate for a second when you do it, then just drag it to the bottom of the screen where you should see a red recycle bin. That should remove the icon from the screen. You do the same thing for widgets, which the google search screen is a widget.
