new to handcent

I'm giving handcent a try and I have a question. When i receive and look at them they still appear on my notification bar in the stock messaging. How do i make it where its only the handcent

Open the stock message app and disable the notifications.

Yes. In Handcent options you can set which sound you want, what color led notification you want, how often you want to be reminded of a notification, etc. Very customizable.

you can have a different ringtone for each contact if you wish
can you customize the bubbles (colors,font size,font,etc) for each contact
to forward a picture message you get just long press on the picture until a menu pops up.

just dive right in and get your feet wet
