New to ROMs, question reguarding cyanogenmod

Ok so I'm really new to mods and cyanogen so if this is a dumb question I'm sorry. I'm just wondering why is there no cyanogenmod for the Galaxy Nexus on the Cyanogenmod site? Appearantly there's just a Nightly Build? what deos that mean? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

Its because it runs CM9 which isn't released yet. There are just nightly builds for now. Nightly builds are builds that are built every night with the latest changes in them. They are stable though and work great.
