New Yahoo Issue??

Brand new to the forum and to the Droid. I had my ymail setup and it was receiving emails fine, now I have to sync to receive any. Kind of a pain. Any help?? I call Verizon but they could diagnose the problem. Anyone having similiar issues??

Ok, well first im going to assume you did everything right in setting it up, and ask you if your sync is on? longclick your wallpaper, go to widgets, power control. Now is the circle with two arrows on or off? (its the one to the right of gps and the left of brightness control) [---0-]

It is green. I turned it off and then back on. It was working fine for about 2-3 weeks and now not working..

Have you changed anything? (rom, or installed a program that has the same kind of service?) When you go to settings and view the accounts, tell me exactly what it says? maybe someone like a daughter played with a setting accidentally... (my neice does this all the time... except its always my background)

Within accounts I have backup assistant, my yahoo, my wife's yahoo, and gmail.

Is sync showing on on your yahoo? haha, if so it should work. Theirs an evil gremlin in your phone... How much do you need your yahoo account? If you cant get it working by end of night and you really need that account then reset your phone. you should download the sms bakup app, and astro to backup your apps. Sometimes phones just need to be reset, i do it every now and then but i run roms, so my problems are usually more severe when i reset. And just to clarify before you do any of this, your using the "email" app not the "gmail" right?

The only thing i'm using the gmail account for is for the backup. I have the calendar in my phone and it backs up to that account. I can't lose any info in the gmail account right? I have access for my yahoo on my computer but like it popping up throughout the day on the phone without having to do a manual sync. I did a "soft" reset and also pulled the battery out too. I have a few apps on there but not many. How do I back up those so I don't lose them? Thanks
