Newbie from B'burg VA

Hi Folks -

Got an Eris a few weeks back. My 1st smartphone. Very cool. Learning lots about using it.

Guess I need to link a Google account to download apps from the market?

My battery lasts several days but I don'r run BT or browse that much -yet! Anxiously awaiting Android 2.0 or 2.1 but I'll be patient a bit longer.

yup google account almost required.. but it opens up a lot of options like easy access to gtalk and picasa.. all sorts of goodies.
