Newbie with a Droid 2

So, I love my Droid 2 Global, but recently every time I try to send a text the text box force closes every time I hit space... Also, my phone shows I have a notification when I don't and wont go away... anyone can help please?

Welcome to DroidForums!! Sorry you are having issues.

What if anything have you tried to fix it? Sometimes just a normal reboot of the phone can fix some issues. Or perhaps clearing data on some of the apps that are messing up. Let us know!!

I've restarted my phone and removed the battery and sim card and such, but I'm not as tech-savvy as I wish I was... so I'm not really sure how to do much more... which is why I'm here
