Owners of the Google/Motorola Nexus 6 on T-Mobile will be getting a happy surprise starting today. It looks like the latest version of Android Lollipop 5.1 is pushing out to that device. This is build LMY47M, and is a hefty 409MB in size, so you will probably want to update over WiFi. As a refresher, this is what this update brings to the table:
- small tweaks to Lollipop
- new “anti-theft” security features that prevent unauthorized use after a factory reset
- new quick toggles and animations
- several bug fixes
- VoLTE (WiFi calling is expected in a later update)
