If you cringe at brand new perfectly good tablets/devices being subjected to concrete drops and total submersion in old bath tubs then this video is not for you. Without giving away which tablet comes out the winner, the Nexus 7 is one tough tablet.

The drop test is flawed to say the least, I am not a fanboy of Apple or Android, as I own both products, but when they initially drop the iPad and Android tablets, the initial impact "which is the most violent one" the iPad lands squarely on the corner of the tablet, reason for the screen breaking, the Android tablet falls on it's back on the initial drop, reason for the screen still beign intact, just a bad test, nothing was gained here with this.

I don't think the drop was the problem. If that's how it falls that's how it falls. The problem is that the iPad is so much heavier that it's going to incur a lot more damage from the same height. I think a better comparo will be if an iPad mini really comes out.

Also, I hate "like us on Facebook" to win contests.

Good video, obviously Drops weren't exactly equal, still fun to watch. The crazy thing to me was the water test lol, i would bet both are going to suffer long term from that, but it was good to see the screen not immediately turn off lol.

The tests are indeed valid but from different standpoints. I saw a another youtube vid (that I cannot find) that had a drop test of the N7 directly on a corner from about 6 feet and it still did not crack. I am still searching for that vid. I was impressed with the water test. Not going to try it, none the less impressed!

I glanced at the vid, and seems like the "old" iPad..I was expecting the rumored(possibly confirmed now?) smaller iPad in the works.
