I got my droid on 24th of December last year...It was a gift from my gf and i love this phone so far. I don't really look at other phones because i know verizon is the best carrier and i had it since 04... My gf said there is a new android phone out so i checked it out... pretty nice.. coming soon too vzw!!! any of you guys regret? i love my droid but it kinda sux to find out there is something faster (maybe better?) is already out after 2 weeks...

Do you like using the physical keyboard? Do you like to play emulators and use dpad to control?

If you answered yes to either of these, you're definitely better off with the Droid. IMO the N1 doesn't have much more to offer other than a possible slight speed boost, and more ram. That, and I read something about FM on N1. I am not sure if it's a receiver or transmitter.

I think I will stick with the Droid and wait for a possible LTE Android device late 2010 or early 2011.

You still have a couple weeks left to return your Droid and wait it out for a very similar device for 3 months or so.

But not on Big Red yet.....

Yes, but it therefore has a crummier battery life, it doesn't have the option of a keyboard, doesnt(as far as. I know) do mcuh about landscape mode, has the same upper limit of memory, has just as good of a tocuh screen, just as big of a touch screen, has just as good of a camera. It's faster and with a worse battery life. It's a powerful phone, but not as multipurpose as the Droid. The Droid, after all, is about choice, which the iPhone isn't. It has a keyboard AND a tocuh keyboard. It's battery doesn't cost an arm and a leg to replace. It has a better camera. Your Droid is fine. It'll be getting Android 2.1 anyway, so no worry there.

IIRC didn't the Droid come out at the start of November? That's a little more then two weeks. I know the OP meant two weeks from the time he got his phone, just making a point.

There's always going to be something new coming out. I'm very happy with my Droid and have no intentions of going elsewhere just for a different phone.

No regrets here!!!

I had about 30 minutes of buyer remorse since I bought my Droid the day before the N1 announcement....I'm not a big user of the physical keyboard. However, the cost of dealing with my older phone that was flaky sometimes wasn't worth waiting months for another phone. The Droid is an awesome phone and I love using it so far. Besides, I had to pull the trigger eventually. The way I see it now, I'm going to be 3 months further ahead on my next "New Every 2" that I'll use on the not-yet-envisioned awesome 4G capable Android phone.

I'm not leaving Verizon. Since the Nexus won't be available for Verizon until this spring, I don't have any remorse over buying the Droid. If I kept waiting for the next best phone to be released, I would be waiting forever.

all i'm jealous of is the 512 ram. everything else is a wash, really. and i do like the phys keyboard
