Gingerbread is coming and probably coming with a new device

Gingerbread is optimized for tablets and they need a unit to prove it

Uhh, doubt it. Gingerbread isn't supposed to be oriented for tablets, but rather have a better ui. Honeycomb should be the version oriented update towards tablets.

I thought gingerbread was the tablet system. I mean I know it is going to be on phones too but I thought it was being developed with tablets in mind. I don't really know though I can't keep up on the rumor mill.

I have no sources. That's what I meant by rumor. When news first started leaking about gb I was hearing that it would be used on this generation of tablets.
