I have had my DROID for 2 weeks and just installed the trial version of Nitrodesk TouchDown on Monday. I was really happy with it's capabilities and decided to buy last night. When I went to the Market, TouchDown was suddenly $19.99! Why has the price doubled? I feel cheated since the price was $9.99 on Monday.

Wow, Glad I paid for mine on Monday....

ask the Dev, by emailing them from within the market at the bottom of the apps listing.

That being said, understand that these programs can require a lot of work.

Supply and demand.

A needed app like this by many for various reasons and the developer seizes on the opportunity. [Until other apps are released that can compete]

It was always advertised as an "Introductory Price" which means it's not the full price but a limited time offer. I purchased it very quickly after first using it but its still worth the money IMHO.

wtf. I've been evaluating this for the last week, and was ready to spend the $10. I go to buy it and it's now $20. That is bait and switch. Now to find a new solution.

As stated it might have been an introductory price, but at least it could have stated when the price change would take effect. Similarly like docs to go, it ALWAYS states when there is a price break, when it will go back up to normal price again. Just something that devs should put on the info.

Because they advertised a price of $10 during my entire evaluation; I went to purchase at the end of the eval (today), and the price is now $20. It's unlikely the developer intended it, but this is bait and switch.

I don't dispute the developers right to increase pricing. But as New2U point out it should be made clear that after 'x' date the price will go up. Had that been the case, I'd have purchased two days ago. Had that been the case, it would not have been bait and switch.

email them see what they say maybe they will give you 10 back since you were evaluating at the time of the increase. worth a shot.

Yes i think we all understand that. Merely what he's griping about is that they didn't state when it was going to change. It's like a bank saying they are going to raise rates.. sometime in the future... well that's great but i'd like to know when the heck that is going to occur. I'm not saying neither don't have the power to do what they choose, merely that it would be best if they state when that will change.

I did that before posting any responses on this thread. And in fact they just provided me with a discount number to get back to the $10 price.

Not sure I'd use the word 'griping' ;), but this is exactly my point.

This entire thread, would have been non-existent had they simply dated the special offer.

Anyway, the developer came through, and allowed me to purchase for the $10 price with no issue. Hopefully the OP is also successful. We may now return to our regularly scheduled programming. :)

i believe there is an old saying..."you snooze you lose"...i was on the fence on this one too and now it is gonna cost me double....bummer...
