No app screenshots in Market?

I understand that the Android Market only supports screenshots of each app with Android 1.6 and above natively. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to add the screenshot ability for the apps in the market in android 1.5 using a theme or something?
... Probably wishful thinking but figured I would ask anyway. Maybe we'll just have to wait for an official android update from Verizon, or dare I say... ROOT!

I found one alternative market that has screenshots of apps.
It is called SlideME Marketplace and can be downloaded here: https://slideme.org/application/slideme-marketplace
This market is considerably smaller but does have screenshots.
