An interesting rumor has been making the rounds today originating as a post on South Korean web portal Daum. Web portals such as Daum are very similar to how AOL and Yahoo operated as both a provider of internet services, as well as a dedicated area for displaying news and information.
A reporter named Jeong Hwan is credited with presenting information on the popular phone maker LG. His claim is that at this year's International CES in January, LG will not be releasing a follow up to the very popular G Flex 2.
Many of us had suspected that a G Flex 3 would be announced at the yearly convention, but this bit of information casts some doubt.
Mr. Hwan also presented more information about LG's announcements for the year 2016, such as a speculated unveiling of the G5 in April (This seems likely, due to LG's flagship announcements being in or around April for the past few years) as well as an expectation of a followup to the LG V10 to debut in the second half of the year.
These rumors may or may not prove to be accurate. If nothing else, you can expect to hear again from me on the matter from this years' International CES. See you in January.
