No GIF animation?

I had recently received a GIF image inbedded in an email. Sadly the GIF wont show (animate) in the email nor move when saved to my gallery. Hopefully the devs at google will fix this. Discuss?

Gifs can be viewed in the browser. What i would do is upload the image to my dropbox and then view it as a hyperlink in the mobile browser.

If you don't have Dropbox its a must!
