No gmail notifications

Was fine prior to changes. Unlocked bootloader, rooted, ziggys kernel, stock Rom, choice bloat removal, and now I can't get any notifications from Gmail. Any ideas?

From the home page, settings/apps/all/Gmail/clear data. It will take the app a minute or so to resync, but all whould be well then.

Good luck.

You can also make sure your data is "always on" and that you're running in performance mode(power setting). Running anything other than these two will cause issues with data while the phone is asleep.

Just cleared out the data for Gmail through settings/apps. Hopefully that does the trick. It is definitely enabled for notifications. Will report back.

No dice. Still no gmail notification. I'm lost. Data is off only when I'm working, but background data is always on and everything else updates when I turn the network on almost immediately. Gmail is the only thing I'm not getting notifications from.

Fastbird, I agree with you. I just rooted my phone two days ago, and now I do not receive a gmail notification when new mail arrives. I too, already undertook the suggestions previously given. HELP!

Did you double check that you're supposed to get Gmail notifications? They should be on by default but it never hurts to check.

Check to see if you the 2.3.6 update on "about phone"
IF SO, UNINSTALL UPDATE. from its app list. ..It will revert back to 2.3.5.
When you start Gmail again it will take some time to sync... And set that app to NOT auto update.
Solved some of the issues on my RZ.
