Yesterday OnePlus launched the Indian version of their website for the OnePlus 5 launch event. The wording on the site mentioned an invite code which sent the internet of OnePlus fans into panic mode. This brought back horrible memories of the way the original OnePlus One was sold. OnePlus has not actually used an invite system to sell their phones for quite a while. The "invite code" mentioned on the site refers to being invited to the launch event. OnePlus confirmed that ordering the OnePlus 5 will be invite free.
