this phone is replacing the razr maxx HD and one thing i missed from that phone is the LED notifications.

with this phone it has an "active display" that shows notifications on the screen?

how does this actually work as it seems like it is not doing a good job letting me know when i have a text, email, missed call, etc..

thanks

Some people love the active display..I'm with you though..I HATE IT..I have it turned off..thankfully i have really good hearing and unless I'm preoccupied.. I hear the notifications ...

Other than that..I want my blinking dang led back!! And I want it BLUE!!! YOU GOT THAT MOTOROLA!!!!.. sorry..apparently it bothered me more than I thought LOL:)

Make sure you enable those services in active notifications so that you get notifications for what you want..ie...missed calls, text, etc...

Using LED notifications for years I was afraid I'd miss them but I prefer the active notifications now much more than a blinking LED.

Oh and it works by showing you what came in...call, text, email....and will light up the pixels needed on the display to do so. After a while, if you don't check them, the notification period slows down until you get another notification or you pick up the phone. You can see more details of a notification or just unlock the phone (swipe up or down) or you can just stop the notification by swiping right if you don't need to check it immediately and want to stop being notified about it.
