No online pre-order through VZW?

I understand that given the previous debacle over the Incredible, Verizon as a whole isn't taking pre-orders for the Droid X.

But wouldn't it be kinda nice for them to at least open up the web site to orders the day before the official launch, so those that order online could get their DX the same day as those that get them from the stores?

I dunno...just a thought...

i was told last week by a customer service rep that I would be able to preorder on the 14th thru the MyVerizon site. I wnet ahead ahead and preordered thru my local Verizon store because the sales guy threw in some extra stuff. Hope to be posting replies from my X Thursday morning!dancedroid

At this point, preordering seems kind of pointless. The launch is in two days and Best Buy has been taking preorders for weeks. If you really want the X on the 15th, your best bet is to drive over to your local Verizon store and be there when they opens the doors Thursday morning.
