While some are not fans of Nokia for their lack of desire for anything Android, we must give them props for a new idea. This indoor navigation concept has been lingering in Nokia’s Beta labs since my old N95 8GB days (2008). The basic idea is that your phone gives you navigation through a major building using beacons that are installed in the ceiling by the complex management. The system also allows you to track other things with a small tracker you can put on or inside the object and it will warn you when the object is not with you anymore and tell you where it is.

While the likelihood of Nokia bringing this to Android, or any further development is very slim, it would be cool to see something similar developed for all smartphones and picked up by air-ports and malls around the world.

I love Nokia, and if they ever start putting out handsets with a decent OS again, I'll switch back to them. Indestructible phones with great battery life? Count me in. I remember throwing some of those things against the wall during grad school, and they would just pop apart. Put them back together and they were good to go. I miss my N95 :(

That man just stole an umbrella.

Yeah! I noticed that too! The thing is you need dongles on everything to make it work. If everyone buys into it the system will work but if nobody does it will have huge holes and blank spots.

Not only that, but I thought that dude was going to get hit by that car at the end. Phone gives an alert saying, "You've been hit by a car and you bag has been destroyed."
