While some are not fans of Nokia for their lack of desire for anything Android, we must give them props for a new idea. This indoor navigation concept has been lingering in Nokia’s Beta labs since my old N95 8GB days (2008). The basic idea is that your phone gives you navigation through a major building using beacons that are installed in the ceiling by the complex management. The system also allows you to track other things with a small tracker you can put on or inside the object and it will warn you when the object is not with you anymore and tell you where it is.
While the likelihood of Nokia bringing this to Android, or any further development is very slim, it would be cool to see something similar developed for all smartphones and picked up by air-ports and malls around the world.
