Non-existent Emails

I'm brand new to the forum so pardon me if this question has been asked/answered previously.

I receive frequent notifications that I have a new email in my inbox yet when I check my email, there is nothing new. I have my Yahoo and AOL emails sent to my non-Gmail inbox. Any suggestions on how to get past this annoyance?

POP3 handling on the droid sucks big time. Star this topic and drop a comment. Hopefully Google will fix it.

Download K-9 from the Market (make sure to get the full and not the beta), then do what famac! said and star that issue thread to help in requesting to get the stock app fixed.
