Noob wants to learn

So I am not a developer in any language. Most of the guides seem to be more geared towards those who have programming experience. Any guide or tutorial suggestions?

I have the sdk, eclipse & motodev. Motodev seems better because of the bonus drag and drop stuff such as buttons.

I would like to initially do something like add buttons click on it pulls up another screen with a different list of buttons depend on what was clicked than from the 2nd screen when a button is clicked it will go to a URL or file.

I believe I have to have the initial button call a different activity which will load the second menu of buttons but I am just plain out lost.
