Not Getting Notifications?

I'm using 1.5 with mysterious beast theme. I use jorte with my google calender. I've noticed I'm not getting notifications after I missed an appt today. Any ideas on fixes?

This happened to me on my D2 and I didn't even have a custom ROM. I went back to stock, rooted again and the notifications came back. Strange.
