not unlocking

every now and then, when I go to unlock my DROID 2 it will not unlock. it happens very randomly, no matter what I was doing before. It will have a black screen for about 5 minutes, and then it will reboot. it's very annoying and inconvienent. does anyone maybe know why this is happening?

Sounds like you may have a defective touch screen or an internal software problem. How long have you had the phone?

my touch screen is fully functional.
and I would say I've had it about 4 months.
