Samsung will have to go all out with the Note 8 to make up for the mishap of last year's Note device. We are finding out the phone may not actually have the embedded fingerprint scanner we were all hoping for. Samsung might still have something up their sleeves. A new rumor suggest that Samsung will be among the first to include a Snapdragon 836 chip in their device with the Note 8.
Last year flagships released with the Snapdragon 820 early in the year while some phones releasing later in the year included the slightly updated Snapdragon 821. The Snapdragon 836 is expected to be an octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz with a GPU clocked at 740MHz. Indications are pointing towards an August announcement.
