Notification Bar in the Lockscreen

Is there any way we could get this added into the ROM, or make a separate ROM that has the notification bar shown in the lockscreen?

I don't know about everyone else, but almost the only use I get out of the notifications bar is being able to check if I've gotten anything new and seeing what it is without having to unlock my phone. Also, when you use a PIN for the lockscreen (not sure if it's the same for a pattern/password), it doesn't even have a clock. Kind of annoying having to unlock my phone just to check the time.

If you don't mind not having a passlock on your phone, get widgetlocker.

Widgetlocker sounds cool, but I still think it's kind of stupid that it's not already in the ROM. I like having a PIN, and even if I didn't mind not using it I don't see why I should have to spend two bucks just to get my notification bar back.

Quit being a cheapskate and buy a $2 app for your $600 phone. It's actually a pretty awesome lockscreen replacement with a crapload of adjustability.
