Notification bar not working?

Hey guys I have had my droid for over almost a year now and have not had any problems till about last week! It seems like my notification bar isn't working. I'm not getting emails anymore on Gmail nor twitter updates with out manually going into the app and updating it. Anyone know whats going on here? Thanks

have you tried pulling the battery? Any recent apps downloaded that might be the culprit?

I will try pulling the battery now, and nope! I don't download much app's just the basic ones.

Ah what a waste of a thread! It look's like my dad somehow managed to turn off auto Sync and those 2 apps are under it. Sorry guys! This should be very interesting when my dad gets his droid! I can see the questions now...

Never a wasted thread. Always there a search criteria if anyone else has the same issues. Easy fixes are always welcome.
