Notification light? Vibrate Keys?

HTC Incredible, I have everything checked under the notification light to flash to notify . Is this the same light that light's up for charging (orange) and Green when battery is fully charged? Because I never see it flashing or lit when I get email or text messages .

Also I have unchecked Haptic feedback (Vibrate when pressing soft keys etc) but the phone still vibrates when pressing keys ? Am I doing something wrong?

Should be that same LED. You using stock messaging or handcent/chomp?
