Notification of email and text messaging

How do I customize my notifications?

I want to be notified of an incoming text message but NOT an incoming email. Is there a way to do this?

All you need to do is adjust the notification settings for each app instead if the main settings for the Droid. For instance, open the Gmail app and click settings. There you will see a notification option as well as notification tone options. The same holds true for the SMS app.
