Notifications lowering music playback

I pretty much use Spotify as my audio app for music. Whenever I get notifications from Facebook or a text the damn audio will lower on the music. I can't find any settings on the phone (S9+) or sorry that can override it. What am I missing?

Also I thought I had Facebook sounds completely of, bit it still seems to be tied to the main phone audio.

I seem to remember a similar issue with Play Music a while back? But could be mistaken. If I remember correctly it was resolved with an app update. Have you tried a different music / media player app to see it it's just Spotify, or system wide?

I'm paying for Spotify for the family plan so pretty much only use that app. I'll try Google play music and see if does it as well, but I seem recall it doing it with Amazon prime music as well
