NOTIFICATIONS - Volume Control For Individual Contacts

My first post here...so please go gentle. I have been searching here for a solution.

I have been looking for a way to manage my notifications. For instance, I want a volume-controlled notification for a particular contact when a text message arrives, but want the notification to be silent for all others.

I am using Handcent and I could swear that I was able to do that somewhere...but, my Droid is now keeping it a secret!

Any suggestions as to an application to manage these notifications or a way to do this is appreciated.

Ring Manager Pro will silence all but a list of contacts...I use it when I sleep with the droid as my alarm.
I only let emergency contacts through.

I would suspect Locale might have what you need as well but that is $9.99.

I know that this is an old thread, but I would like to point out that SVC+ does this very well.

What is SVC+? I looked for it on the Play Store and came up empty-handed.
