I literally counted down the days till I could upgrade- had to wait till Dec. 9th, and have been in Android Heaven ever since. I had a BB Pearl, which was a great phone for me. My phone has to meet some tough requirements:
-withstand abuse from a toddler who is crazy about both phones and computers, and will not be distracted when she wants to hold it
-get an excellent signal in a 100 year old school building that is a notorious dead zone
-serve as a really decent flashlight when the garage light is burned out
-make shopping online even more convenient (don't know that this is a +!)
-allow easy access to my docs and have editing capability
-take really decent photos (of previously mentioned child)
-store hours of movies (Tinkerbell, especially, for viewing in fancy restaurants)
-be crazy customizable, as I have WAY more wallpapers than outfits to wear
-have an excellent maps/GPS feature
-play YouTube videos at work, where they blocked it :icon_evil:
-make my programmer husband who owns first gen and latest of everything Mac insanely jealous, and admit maybe Apple is sometimes overrated:icon_ banana:
I'm both a teacher and a graduate student, and I'm finding this thing to be even more useful than I'd hoped. And I had high hopes! It's making my netbook almost unnecessary, and I thought that was about as portable as my computer was going to get!
I'm a do-it-yourselfer and a novice geek, I've done a lot by way of google...
