On stock 2.2 and eating for gb

Just wanted to see how many people are on 2.2 and are waiting for the update . And who is jumping on the newest gb leak. I've decided to just wait for it rather then be on it now. I think it a little exciting getting the notification for the update.

I'm assuming you're talking about 3.0? I'm on stock 2.2 as well. I'm nowhere near impatient enough to go and download some random file to get it a bit sooner. And yes when you get that system update notification it is like Christmas .

I actually just found out about there even being a 3.0 today lol (I'm usually not on these forums). After I found out about it's existence I did a search "droid x android 3.0" ... there were people asking august 2010 about when it was going to come out lol.

Anyone know of any possible rumored dates/months for it to officially come to the droid x?

Not to be a know it all but gingerbread is 2.3.3. And I've read that it might be sometime in the next 7 days. I've been on all the leaks except for the latest one. Way better then 2.2

Ok I laughed a little. I was there once too. Gingerbread is what google is calling 2.3.3. They name all if there updates after yummy treats. 3.0 is honeycomb and is only for the tablets.

For you computer guys, 2.2 is like Windows XP and GB is like Windows 7. Much nicer!

I'm wondering if GB will address the problem I've been having on my X. My wi-fi reception is horrendous and almost non-existent in most parts of my home where my other wi-fi devices have full signal strength. So is there anyone out there who had this problem before they installed GB, and if so did GB help address the issue?

Im running 2.2 and I have never had that problem.
One thing I would suggest is a new router, or try moving your current one to a different area in your house. As far as I know gingerbread has no wifi update, I could be wrong tho.
