downloaded a deodexed gb, went into recovery, wiped, installed, now it won't get past the moto logo. i haven't messed up an install like this before, so, what do i do? i guess i need to sbf? or rsd? anyway i can save my data?

You have already wiped all of your data. If you are talking about apps and contacts they are synced through google.
You will need to sbf reroot and then go from there!

Which gb version did you flash? Some of them require that you are already on an earlier version of gb. I had the same problem when I flashed .591 on a freshly sbf'd froyo setup. Had to sbf again and flash .588 first.

DITTO... I did the same thing. SBF'd then tried to go straight to .595 which ended in bootloop. Then SBF'd again and went .588 -> .595 and it worked like a charm
