It looks like Samsung will be rolling out their Oreo Beta update in two phases. The first phase will roll out to devices in North America, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. The second phase will roll out to China, Germany, Spain, France, Poland and India. The update was rumored for October 31st. Today we started seeing reports of the update actually coming through on devices. According to those who have received the update it seems to speed things up. This is great news as we all know Samsung devices tend to lag a bit over time. The Android Oreo Beta build does not support portrait mode, however pop up and split screen modes do still work. The new update adds a bit of color to media notification and app shortcuts. The system UI is mostly the same as what we already have on Nougat. With the update hitting Beta this week would should see a final version start rolling out to various carriers within the next few weeks.
