Original Droid, looking to WIFI tether

If you are unroothed, I suggest you check out the apps Easy Tether or PDAnet. If you are rooted, try the app, Wireless Tether.

I read somewhere that the og droid sends out an ad-hoc signal instead of an infrastructure signal so wifi tether doesn't work right on the og droid.

My friends want me to root their droids for them but I told them I'm not sure if wifi tether will work correctly. They have no interest in roms so rooting would only be for them to tether.

Works flawlessly on my OG. What you read was false.

All three work fine on my Droid 1.
